I have just got the Unity Edition of the rules.  I previously had the Admiralty Edition.

I like the customization of fighters in Admiralty a little better.  It allows for even more customization.  I liked separate ACC DEF and SPD.  I think it would work ok to do the same in the Unity Edition.

I am working on Star Wars fighters, so here is what I was thinking for a couple of them
Y-Wing  Spd 6, ACC 5, DEF 3,
X-Wing - SPD 8 (standard Speed), ACC 4, DEF 2
A-Wing - SPD 10, ACC 4, DEF 2
B-Wing - SPD 6, ACC 5, DEF 3 Double Damage

TIE - Spd 8, ACC 4 (no DEF since no shields)
TIE Bomber -SPD 6, ACC 5, (no DEF), Double Damage
TIE Interceptor - SPD 10, ACC 4, (No DEF)

Or would it be better to simply use the designations in Unity and add some special abilities?  I don't like the fact that Unity changes the number of fighters in a flight based upon its type.  (I guess it does it for game balance)

B-Wing and TIE Bomber would then be bombers  (B-Wing may be Assault fighter) (House rule to reduce movement
A-Wing and TIE Interceptor would be interceptors
X-Wing would be Heavy Fighter because of shields
TIE would be standard fighter

Can you give weapon traits to fighters in Unity?
