Thanks for the clarification. That rationale makes sense, and I'm glad we were playing it right all along.

Hey fellow gamers,

I don't know why I'm suddenly wondering this now after a year of playing the game but it just occurred to me that a Proximity weapon states that "A separate attack roll is made against each element (friend or foe) in the target hex.
Up until know, my friends and I have been treating fighter/seeker flights as a single element and, therefore, only rolling once per flight and reducing the flight by 1 on a hit. Given the visual representation of the effect of a Prx weapon (large explosion, arcing beams of energy, etc), an argument can be made that an attack should be made on each fighter.

Is this the intended interaction for Proximity weapons, or should we be rolling to hit each fighter in the flight?  :?:

Question regarding the updated Weapon Trait costs:
- pg 4, Combined Range Trait modifiers table: The modifier for Fcs + Tls is now x1.8 (down from x3.3 in the previous version of the Unity rulebook).

Is this correct? Only asking because it's a large drop and the combined modifier is lower than both the Gid + Tls combo (x2.7), as well as Tls on its own (x1.9).

Beyond that, the Regenerative Screens included in the Annex is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Loving the new additions.

Keep in mind that these changes are minimal. There are some combinations that are radically different (e.g. Crn/Sct) but I'm really just doing this because I want to be as close to "correct" as possible.

I don't see a need to go back and redo ships that have already been created. For example, even if every single one of your weapons had the Dfs/Tls combination (one of the largest changes) the final Combat Rating would only be off by about 10%.

Question regarding the new values though, is there a reason that Crn + Sct now costs MORE than Sct by itself?
Given that Crn is a purely limiting trait (no shooting at Long Range), why would combining this with Sct cause the total cost to go UP instead of down?  :?
