I saw that the shipbuilder has been updated, but the piercing modifier is still wrong.  It still says 1.4.

My brother was putting his ships into the latest version of shipbiulder and noticed that the SU for his shields had changed and were costing more.  I looked into it and discovered that the tech level modifier doesn't appear to be right.  When I work it out by hand, a ship with a hull of 8, an engine rating of 6, and a shield rating of 5 at Tech level +1, the egine SU should be 439 and the shield SU should be 384.  The shipbuilder gives the engine SU as 444 and the shield SU as 385.

I also noticed the the modifier for piercing is wrong.  The core rules lists it as 1.5 and the shipbuilder as 1.4.

I was wondering, if you have a weapon battery with the fire-linked SA, do you have to use it whenever that battery fires?  For example:  say you have two opposing vessels in your ab arc.  Vessel 1 has already taken some dammage and could be destroyed with just a few shots, meanwhile vessel 2 is relatively undamaged.  Could I split my fire and still use fire-linked, have to disengage fire-linked, or would I have to pick one target and hit it with everything in that battery?  Thanks.

Never mind, I figured it out.  At short range the modifier doesn't change anything.

Dan,

I think that I found an error with the shipbuilder.  I was playing around with it today and I noticed that if you set the acc on Battery Z at 4+ and chose the anti-fighter special ability it doesn't affect the final su cost.

I noticed on the new version of the shipbuilder that when you go to the Datacard sheet, the weapon ranges are not transferring.

In the shipbuilder program there is a repair option.  Where is this in the rule book, I couldn't find it.

My friends and I play with the Starmada Compendium rules and we were wondering about the su cost for Advanced ECM and ECM Slave Units.  The book doesn't list one so we were wondering if it was a typo or if they're just based off of the ECM cost.  Thanks for your help.

I'm trying to build a troop carrier using the Troop Special Equipment, but I don't think that I'm reading it right.  The way that I read it is, you must buy a batch of 250 troops at a cost of 10 SU.  This comes out to 2500 SU, which seems to be a little too costly to me.  Is this right or am I reading it wrong?
