I have not played starmada, since starmada and the 4X campaign game Sovereign Stars were two different games and before twilight imperium 3 came out.  One thing i am curious about, does Starmada now have like Racial modifiers that can change the ships to make them unique and racial modifiers that change the campaign game?  I know that might be a dumb question, but i am looking for a 4X game/space fight table game that has the racial modifiers to both systems that way you are not stuck with the races someone else came up with.  I am planning on buying the AE starmada because of the simplicity of the rules and that i can teach my kids. I am just curious to know if this game has that difference.  If you know a good computer/table game that has that, please let me know in a different message, so i don't get yelled at for promoting other games in this forum.
