hello everyone

i'm an old school Starmada "1" player recently wanting to revisit the game.  (hi Dan.  i bought one of your 10 page rule books back in like '96.  i still have the old newsletters too!  thanks btw for listing me in the Compendium and X versions as a play tester.)

anyway, i just read through the discussion of 30 range weapons and got the sense that it has to do with Admiralty Edition.  i have an old Compendium and X manuals and was wondering if those version were still viable and played. 

also, on the Yahoo group Files section was a construction assistant for Compendium.  will that be compatible with X version rules too, or should perhaps i should stick with the  the SXCA spreadsheet?
