I would rather odd point costs over none. One of the reasons I turn away from most Naval war games is thier lack of points based army building. I am a slave to the concept of "lets have a battle, 500 points" war gaming.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I know that war at Sea is WW2. The models are simple stand ins. No one will ever accuse me of being a history buff smile Sounds like I could use my Fire as She bears moving hex grid set up for this.

I played a bit of Starmada X and loved it, but love the idea of Dreadnoughts. This will mean a leap into Starmada AE which I am looking forward too. A couple questions to people who have played the game.

Is the game still played on a hex grid?

How realistic of an idea is it to use War at Sea figures for the game. I have a ton of these but don't really care for War at Sea.
