Re: Starmada Iron Stars questions
Looking at the great pictures of the ships, I have to ask why the light guns have ACE of BDF arcs even if they are way out on the bow where ABCD arcs would be expected?

To be consistent with the Iron Stars rules regarding light gun targeting.
The placement of guns on the ships was never meant to reflect "reality" -- they are just where Dugan thought they looked best. That's one of the abstractions of Iron Stars.
However, I did make sure that the arc designations for primary turrets in Starmada were consistent with the ship pics.

And they look DAMN good, too....
It is a pity that the Soviet ship on the cover was not included in the data cards, looks like a converted Svarog the other way up & extra bits added.

The Soviet ship on the cover is a Warpulis, none of the 3D models were modified to fit in with the Starmada version.
...stats? Haven't seen the Starmada version. Been busy....
I take it that the Warpulis was in Iron Stars: Southern Front? (The only book I did not get.)
Thanks for some great designs (I suspect that they may not always keep the stats given in Starmada Iron Stars.)

I honestly don't recall. I've got PDF's (at least) of all the books, but they're not here (at work)...I do know it's one of the Soviet ships that I made up - and I had a bit of fun making the 'rocket pack' thing....

You're very welcome!
While I could have made ships that more accurately reflected the arcs, it would have slowed down Dan getting it out the door, and would have sort of defeated the purpose (I'm guessing) of doing the crossover in the first place.
Making graphics is the only real gaming outlet I've had the last view years (as I may have mentioned repeatedly elsewhere on the forum), so I'm hoping that the VASSAL project works out well - and that LOTS of people use it to play online.
