Narn Regime – Cruisers & Carriers
The Narn only have a single dedicated carrier class, and that only carries as many fighters as some other races cruisers. As a result most of their cruisers carry a flight or two of fighters.
T'Narr Cruiser (In Service 2211)
Actually intended to be a light carrier, the T'Narr was a failure in that role and led to the Narn fleet doctrine of cruisers carrying their own fighter support. The remaining examples of this class were converted to T'Loth assault cruisers.

Eventually a new use was found for the T'Narr as a troop ship. The T'Loth can carry a large number of troops and the equipment to land them on a planet.

T'Rann Heavy Carrier (In Service 2247)
Essentially a T'Loth with extra fighters replacing the assault shuttles and a slightly updated weapon array. Given that most Narn cruisers carry their own fighters the design is rather redundant.

L'Karus Raider Cruiser (In Service 2215)
Originally intended as a light raider built on a single side-pod of a T'Narr (in a similar manner to the T'Rakk, the L'Karus was greatly expanded to almost twice the size and fitted out to raid Centauri (and other) shipping.

Sho'Kar Scout Cruiser (In Service 2240)
The only scout in the Narn fleet, the Sho'Kar is barely able to defend itself against a flight of fighters. As a result they are mainly used for reconnaissance rather than fleet support.

G'Quan Heavy Cruiser (In Service 2242)
The G'Quan, with its mix of long and close-range weaponry, is the main ship-of-the-line of the Narn fleet and can be found undertaking just about any mission. A number of variants with different weapon mixes have been developed over the years.

This G'Quann variant replaces the energy mines with heavy pulse cannons. While this provides additional close range firepower it loses some anti-fighter capability.

In an effort to match the firepower of the Centauri Primus battlecruiser this G'Quan variant replaces the fighter bays with additional laser cannons and the energy mines with ion torpedoes.

G'Lan Mag Cruiser (In Service 2259)
This G'Quan variant replaced the energy mines with the devastating close range mag guns. Unfortunately the power requirements of the mag guns required the replacement of the heavy laser cannons with lighter versions, although the forward pulse cannons were upgraded. The G'Lan was considered to be a deadly close-range combatant by the Centauri and they would normally try to destroy it before it could close.

G'Tal Command Cruiser (In Service 2263)
During the Narn-Centauri War the Narn fleet suffered from a lack of command and control vessels, using either the Bin'Tak or a regular cruiser as the flagship. Following the war they designed this G'Quan variant to provide a cruiser with additional command facilities and additional firepower. Due to the expense not many were built. The rear-facing heavy laser cannon is a nasty shock for Centauri hunting packs that expect to be safe once they have completed their attack run through a Narn battle group.

G'Karith Patrol Cruiser (In Service 2253)
Slightly smaller than the G'Quan class, the G'Karith is used to patrol the borders of the Regime. Normally deployed in squadrons of three their light weaponry is highly effective against raiders and against other threats they can hold their own until heavier units arrive.

G'Sten War Cruiser (In Service 2260)
Following the disastrous Narn-Centauri War, the Narn were short of cruisers. Due to the G'Karith normally being stationed on the borders rather than in fleets more of them had survived than other classes. In order to fill the gaps in their fleets the Narn converted a number to this design. Lacking both energy mines and heavy laser cannons the G'Sten was considered to be seriously inferior to the G'Quan and they were converted back to G'Karith patrol cruisers as quickly as new cruisers could be built.

The main fleet command ship of the Narn Regime, the Bin'Tak has a large weapons array with the ability to deal damage at long-range and protect it from enemy fighters. It can take on just about any other capital ship, other than a Minbari cruiser, and expect to win.
