Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to figure out my excel sheet and make fixes
Hi all! My co-host and I reviewed Grand Fleets in the latest episode of the Man Battlestations podcast. Please take a listen and let us know what you think:

I too would be interested in the WWII supplement! In all honesty, the lack of WWII stat profiles for the game was one of the things that inspired me to create my Excel stat builder .
Yeah, scale has been all over the place for this line, and the "Tinyprise" has been a real head-scratcher of a decision. Especially considering that the Refit Constitution model WizKids put out is in roughly the same scale as the Miranda and Excelsior above (ie, much larger than the Tinyprise). WizKids then went and did something similar for the Constellation model (Stargazer, Hathaway) and made it much smaller than the movie-era ships in the line. The much smaller size puts them close to scale with the Ent-D mini they released, which is probably why they did it. However, it is really odd that it was done so inconsistently!
I have quite a few of these minis, though I don't play the game a whole lot. Actually, WizKids figure out a way to get me to buy many of the same models on three separate occasions; many of the STAW models started out as minis for the Star Trek Fleet Captains board game, and then got released as the Star Trek Tactcis HeroClix game, and then got re-purposed again for STAW. If you are interested in just the minis (and plan to re-base them using your own bases) you might be able to get the older Clix versions for less. However, there are some STAW sculpts that are unique to that system, like the Akira.

The value on the "official" ship card is derived from 8x 127mm DP guns, 8x 25mm AA guns, and 4x 13mm MGs. If your source material gives more anti-aircraft guns, your modifier will be higher.
Ahh, got it, thanks. I re-ran the Myoko's stats with those AA gun nubmers, and got the -3 I was supposed to. The first time I just went to Wikipedia to get a quick set of numbers, and those do not reflect the 25mm mounts.
Please do! I'm very interested in hearing about your perspective as the games designer on this thing. It seems like I'm able to replicate fairly closely a few of the stat cards included in the base rule book, so I think it's fairly close. One think I'm not sure about is if the DP modifiers for the secondary guns are being calculated correctly. It seems the math is set up right, but my generator is producing larger modifiers than what appears in the official MJ12 stats. For example, my generator reruns a -8 modifier for the IJN Myoko, while the official stats peg her modifier at a -3 IIRC.
A Jutland book sounds awesome! I'd definitely be interested in picking that up when it becomes available.
Greetings! I've been having a good time learning GF3 lately. I was very impressed with the conversion rules in the book which inspired me to create a stat generator using Excel that automates the stat card generation process! Here it is, in all of its Excel glory:

Please download it and let me know what you think! I had to learn a few new tricks when it comes to Excel functions to make this, so its entirely possible I've got some errors in there somewhere!
