I'm in Western Connecticut.  VA's a bit of a hike, I'm afraid smile

Uncle Joe--

Yes that's me.  I think not having to worry about energy allocation will be refreshing.  I never could find anyone in my area willing to learn/play SFB - I'm hoping for better luck with 'simpler and more elegant.'

Wow - 11 minute response from the author himself.  That must be some kind of record!  Thank you!

Hi--

Just got a copy of Starmada X.  Have to say, nice set of rules.  I have (so far) one question and I know it's a silly one but I don't want to go dashing down the wrong path from the 'get go.'

In the fire arcs diagram (section 4.1.2) the dividing lines are drawn right down the hex rows... does that mean that adjacent firing arcs overlap?

In other words do the A & B arcs overlap down the 'centerline' row of hexes in front of the ship?  I would assume that they do and it seems obvious but I've been burned by the obvious before.

In unrelated news: to Mr. Kast - this is easily one of the clearest, most typo and error free pieces of gaming writing I've read.  Kudos to whomever edited this.  While I realize that these qualities are not considered essential in this genre...
