I do it myself, using Adobe Acrobat to print directly from Microsoft Word.

Are you doing anything diffrent to the PDF's?  I just purchased the NOVA version and it wont even open on my Kindle.  Something about embedding files etc....

Another option:
Can you send me the Word doc and I can creat my own PDF from it.  smile

OR

Can you down load http://www.primopdf.com/ Primo PDF from that link and "PRINT" to the PrimoPDF printer (which will create a PDF for you.  Then email me the file.

madcartographer@comcast.net

I'd love for you to do the AE and NOVA versions for me using that so I can read them on my Kindle.

Thank you!

I was wondering (if anything) was being done about getting an "official" StarMada universe.

I have a wonderful 3d Universe generating program called Astrosynthesis by NBOS.  (see link)
http://www.nbos.com/products/astro/astro.htm

I also have REAL TIME data for 100Light Years for this program.
I would love to help create the official universe for this game.  How can we go about doing this?  Or rather maybe I should be asking;  Is this something your intrested in doing?

I'm sure others would love to have this as well.

I'm afraid I have neither access to a Kindle nor the technical understanding to figure out how to fix the problem. Perhaps someone more savvy than I can help?

Fair enough, who does the converting to PDF format?  Maybe I can talk to that person to see what the issue may be.

A question came up on the Miniatures Page about a "boxed" version of Grand Admiral, since PDF counters are a pain to assemble. I understand and agree that they can be a pain, but I have no means to produce die-cut counters.

I can produce pretty decent counter sheets, but the buyer would still need to cut the individual counters apart. Is that a significant enough improvement on PDF that it's worth doing?

Here is a page with info that may help with this issue:
http://privatewars.kyth.org/making_your … unters.htm

It details how to print and cut out your own counters.

Is this still happening?  I have an idea for an acutal Starmada UNIVERSE for a Campaign System.  Please have a look at this pic for an idea of what I have in mind.  This program is called AstroSynthesis and is a 3D Unverse/Galaxy creation program by NBOS.  If intrested in using this, let me know I'll be happy to create the universe in it for you all.

Here is a screenshot of AstroSynthesis.  I was thinking we can create the universe in this program then just save the data file and post here for users to use.  http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid= … mp;theater for a pic of the program, have a look.

Has anything been done with this?  I think it's a great idea and I can even help.  I use a program called AstroSynthesis by NBOS and it creates Unverses etc, all in REAL 3D.  I'd be happy to help / do this.  What do you need?

Hi there,

Does anyone else have issues with viewing the Starmada AE on thier kindle?  I do, it does not display the pics in the documents.  Is there a way around this?  I do alot of reading on my Kindle and wish to read the manual when I feel like it with out having to bring my actual hard copy of the manual every where I go.

Thanks

I was wondering if anyone does Campaign games.  I use a product named AstroSynthesis 3 by NBOS
http://www.nbos.com/products/astro/astro.htm

It's a 3D space maping program for making universes to galaxies.
I was thinking of using this to do a HUGE campaign in.  I have our galaxy in it up to 100 light years.

Would anyone be intrested in something like this?

USE OF SYMBOLS AND ARTWORK
This update includes a large amount of symbols, fill-styles and other artwork in a variety of file formats (OUR ARTWORK). This section sets out how you can distribute maps containing OUR ARTWORK.

(i) Subject to the restrictions in section ii and iii, you may freely distribute the maps you create using OUR ARTWORK in CC3 format, but not the source image files (PNG and bitmap artwork) associated with them. You may freely distribute flat files (for example BMP and PNG) exported from CC3 containing OUR ARTWORK. You may publish such maps for commercial gain.

(ii) You may not redistribute any map that in our sole opinion is, or appears to be, for the purpose of disseminating OUR ARTWORK. Think of your maps as documents, and our symbols as fonts. You can print a document containing Times New Roman font, but you can't give the font file away, or produce a "font book".

(iii) You may not produce commercial products which consist predominantly of floorplan-resolution exports of OUR ARTWORK without written permission from ProFantasy Software Ltd. This includes but is not limited to PDF dungeon tiles.

Enjoy
