I think it should go from the point of impact as well.
Go see it. If you like movies, not just comic book movies, go see it. It was good from start to finish. May be the best comic book film of all time. If your into comics stay through the credits...if not leave.
Plus the older SFB players could just do it themselves anyway. Get the Core rulebook and make their own versions of all the ships.
I really do think it will be cool. I have been a huge fan of SFB since its came out, it just has never been a great fleet game, unless of course you have a day to kill.
It will be interesting to see what the developers do with the three previously mentioned ships of this thred.
SFB suffered badly as things kept piling on. My limit was reached while fighting an enemy fleet composed of Kzinti Drone Frigates firing wave after wave of Speed 32 Drones supplemented by Scatter-packs. I think we easily had more than 100 drones on the table, it was insane. after 10 turns of dancing with Drones, I just flew my ships off the table.
I used to do that all the time. I don't know how many games I played over 10+ years where people would say "You play Kzinti...what's wrong with you?" And then tear them apart in the same manner.
She does come to the local game shop so that is still a plus.
And though my wife likes board games she won't come to the local game shop and roll dice for me...though I can get the kids to do it sometime.
We still roll dice with the best of them...unless the arthritis kicks in.
What is the cost difference between range, accuracy, impact, and damage? Are they all equal or is on cheaper to buy than another? Is there a more cost effective option over another?
So can 10 of those take on an 800 point ship with big forward (G) firing guns only?

Without using fighters, seekers, or strikers can you build a smaller, faster ship that can survive long enough so that it can get into close range? I'm thinking something like a LAC in the Honor Harrington books (or would you classify them as fighters).
I've only seen one game so far and there was pretty much no moving the whole game. A lot of sit back and shoot and hope my dice roll better than yours.

Ok...I have only read the free rules available online and only viewed one game so far.
Can you turn before moving forward? Could I place my move order as P3 for instance?
