I've been having a lot of fun with the WizKids Pocketmodels for star wars and Pirates.
Any thoughts about getting similar minis for Iron Stars / Starmada / etc.? Although I must confess complete ignorance as to the setup costs, etc.
Like Shakespeare said "the play's the thing" (for me)... painting minis not not my forte.
I would love to do something like this -- but it is currently outside the scope of MJ12's capabilities. 
Does anyone have any contacts with Topps or WizKids? they might consider contract work. I know I'd signup to buy an IS fleet if it were available.
I could help with designs of ships that would translate nicely into 3d (some are calling it 2.5d) I belong in the "spacial" olympics.
but the artwork is truly beyond me.
I'm committed to pewter minis on this game myself. Cardstock just doesn't do it for me.
