Judgement-Class system control vessel.
As the Earth League slowly expanded its authority over the various civilized worlds within its sphere of influence, it realized that the colonial days were over- As soon as planets became self-sufficient, their governors became more and more belligerent, so Earth began a program known as the "Friendly Reminder" Project. As military fleets were needed to secure shipping lanes against pirates and other rogue, armed vessels, the navy would need a new kind of ship to ensure that planetary governors knew just who was in charge of the galaxy.
The result of this was the Judgement-Class system control ship, a vessel the size of a large cruiser, but built for the express purpose of keeping tabs on potentially troublesome officials or unruly populations. Its bays are fillied with troops and their armored vehicles, ready to deploy at a moments notice to suppress a planetary disturbance before it gets out of hand, and the wapons and defenses of the vessel itself are more than adequate to defeat any armed civilian craft or most sorts of raider vessels.
