Well I was hoping....

I just picked up GF and was really hoping to see some activity.

I do have a question.  I have a LOT of old WW1 mini's that I have started painting.  It has been such a long time that I don't know their scale.  I would like to attach a few images (really bad pics from my cell phone) with a quarter for reference, but this forum seems to lack an attach feature.  I haven't seen that before, the no image support part.

Re: Hello? Anybody home?

Had a bad spell with the hackers a while back and it's sort of shied us off the attachments, usually folks use a 3rd party locale for their pics and link them back to here. flickr, or picasa... y'know.

I hate those "free" webhosts.  Never had anything but problems with them, but then I really don't take many pics.  I guess I should take advantage of the webspace from my provider and build a basic webpage.

Re: Hello? Anybody home?

OK lets see if this works.

If you see these, what scale are they.   I need better bases than the painted balsa I am using.

Re: Hello? Anybody home?

Those look like 1/3000 scale to me.  Probably Navwar or Skytrex/Davco.

As far as bases, try this place:

They make very nice laser cut bases as relatively affordable prices.  Here's what their 3" x 1" bases look like on 1/3000 models like yours:

As far as the silence on these forums goes. . . we're out here. . . but not really a whole lot of discussion happens for some reason. . . a lot of people don't check it regularly. . . I only play about once a month and don't have a lot to say I guess.  I'll post scenarios and house rules and play aids updates once in a while. . .

But just because things are quiet. . . doesn't mean nobody is listening/playing.  Anyway, if you have questions or whatever, just post them.  Somebody will answer.

Thanks,

At first I thought 1" wide bases would be too much, but then I saw your pics with the labels.  That is a great idea I may need to borrow.
