Topic: Starmada AE link to VBAM

I am new to Starmada.  I just picked up the AE edition.  I've seen a few references linking the X version to VBAM.  Is there a thread that details the conversions necessary to link the AE edition?  Should I just go with the X version of Starmada instead?  Thanks.

Check out the Shipyard "How To" pdf, I have a page in it giving the AE requirements for most VBAM ships. (the Shipyard converts the ships to VBAM stats on the Starmada sheet.)
