You all know I like baseball and math and hexes.
But did you know that I was a music major in college?
I'm a sucker for both incredibly destructive hardware and incredibly cute things in my entertainment.
In high school, I once allowed myself to briefly let my hair get set on fire out of sheer boredom. In the middle of class.
I find that some wargames (especially MJ12's) to be less limiting to my self-expression than most tabletop RPGs, for reasons I can't quite fully articulate.
I love history, but can't stand it when other people nitpick a historical movie/whatever to pieces.
I've read two of China's "Four Literary Treasures": Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Outlaws of the Marsh. In translation, though.
I read 4000 wpm with a 90% retention and comprehension...
I've read Collier's Encyclopedia through A- Appendices three times and the Encyclopdedia Brittanica once...
I started working an afterschool job at age 9 and was a professional florist by age 12...
I can do a lot of things well...but nothing really really good other than blow stuff up on the gaming table. :twisted:
For all my gabbing on line, I'm a terminal introvert in person, only really talking during gaming or at the office, for which my wife deserves high marks for putting up with me.

There are things man was not meant to know... But I can safely impart the fact that I've written an alternative history cyberpunk short story that got an award in a scifi literature competition but never got published.
I speak Arabic and Farsi and I've been to every continent except Antarctica. I'm afraid of heights but love rollercoasters ( including the floorless ones

I'm ashamed that I hardly play Starmada at all now...I've become addicted to the MMORPG Lord of the Rings Online..aahrgh.

I can fix anything, given the resources. ANYTHING - there's very little in the way of machanics and assenbly techniques that I've not done. I was helping disassemble a Carnival ride when I was 14. I hate carnivals to this day.

Sorry to take so long, but with the forum-to-yahoo thing not working, I forget to check the forum.
Are we talking about a PC? How many fans you got? Is the CPU clean? Are the power supply voltages correct? Are you overclocking it?
A couple of months by sea? Not on a nuke - WEEKS maybe...I don't know transit times if I'm using a sailboat, though it's something that I'd like to learn to do someday.
I already have a few of the skills to BUILD one, and I've been meaning to read up on nautical and sailing terminology.
I love animals. (but not in a perverted way.)

Makes it so hard to teach troops how to butcher bunny rabbits in the field as part of winter warfare survival training. Crushing the back of their little fluffy heads with a sharp blow.
