Topic: Question for the Shipbuilder guys

Ok, I built the same ship in both OldnGrey's and Bekosh's shipbuilder spreadsheets:

Hull: 4 3 2 1
Engines: [TL0] 5 4 3 2
Shields: [TL0] 2 2 1 1
Weapons : 1:[V], 2:[V], 3:[V], 4:[W], 5:[W], 6:[W]
Weapons
Battery V:   Long Range Missile Launcher (B) TL0,  1-4/5-8/9-12,  3/4+/1/2
No Range Modifiers,   Ammo:(6)
[AB]  [AB]
Battery W:   Pulsar (E) TL0,  1-2/3-4/5-6,  3/3+/1/1
Anti-Fighter
[GHI]  [GHI]
Special Equipment
Hyperdrive : Countermeasures : Point Defence : Marines (Squad) :

(the above is from OldnGrey's). Thing is, in OldnGrey's shipyard I get a ship that has a points value of 113 and in Bekosh's it is 114. In OldnGrey's I have 2 SU left, in Bekosh's I have 7. I am trying to pin down which shipyard to use for a fleet that I am building for a campaign. I haven't done the points out by hand, but I was just trying to see if the two shipyards were consistent, and it appears they are not, and in terms of SUs it seems to be a fair margin. I'm pretty sure I have all of the different settings exactly the same for the two sheets, but maybe I missed something on one or the other. The difference seems to be in calculating the special equipment somewhere. I will try to go line by line and see where the difference occurs, but I figured I would throw it out there for people who are obviously better at number crunching than I am.
Thanks,
Erik

Re: Question for the Shipbuilder guys

Crud. The problems are with mine.
There was an error in the SU calculation for each battery. I fixed a rounding error in the battery ORAT calculation in v6.0g and didn't fix it in the SU calculation.

The CRAT was rounding up instead of rounding to the nearest whole number.

I've fixed it and posted v6.1 in the files section.

Mea Culpa.

Thanks for the update, I will download soon and begin mucking about with it smile
