I just detected a space combat PC game which uses old imperial Starmada names like
Valiant
Illustrous
etc....
You fight against these ships in the 3rd space battle of the demo.

I guess the programmers have been some starmada players... 
I could be wrong, but I believe those names have been in use by the British Royal Navy for quite some time.
