Topic: Mech Miniatures

If you've not already seen these on Charles Oines shapeways store...these minis seem to have some potential; print on demand. I'm told that Charles has some additional units in store with hands and such. Well worth checking out.

I don't know. The only idea of scale is what he shows in relation to the quarter, so they appear to be good small to middle sized units. I think he's posted some actual printed pics on SCN, but am not certain.

Re: Mech Miniatures

Well they definitely look like that one image from the book where you have all of those tasty 3d models.

Re: Mech Miniatures

They come pretty darn close, that's for sure. If I was employed and had a budget, I'd get a couple myself...though I've already decided the big arm gun barrel has to go. Be a bit of a kitbash for a more in-scale weapon system. When he starts releasing the faction with hands and melee weapons, it'll be kitbash galore time.

Re: Mech Miniatures

maybe a Steele Warriors box in the meantime?

Those look like they would work well also. Though I've no idea of the detailing/ molding quality.

Re: Mech Miniatures

I have one. (I got it as a bonus from a ebay purchase) I can take a couple of pics if you like. The quality isn't too shabby. Not for the price anyway. ($30 for the set including shipping)

I think that would be cool. If for nothing more than informational purposes.

Re: Mech Miniatures

Re: Mech Miniatures

Not too shabby quality at all. Looks like there's room for kit bashing on those as well (a good thing). Thanks for the pics dude.

Re: Mech Miniatures

yeap and the guns can be put where ever you want them. (meant to take a pick but forgot) they're a decent quality too. If you have the Catalyst games CBT Intro set, I'd say that the plastic is of higher quality.

Re: Mech Miniatures

Looks good. Where can I get those minis? I didn't found them on ebay.

Re: Mech Miniatures

The link in the first post (up top there) is the ONLY place to get them, I think. They have not been out very long.

I've "known" Charles Oines for some time, he's making a living doing graphics, and is a gamer. He did the ships for Ad Astra, I believe, as well as written his own spaceship combat game. Great guy, neat mecha and ship minis.....

Re: Mech Miniatures

It's not the only place to get them but they offer the best bang for teh buck. The only other place to get them is Em4miniatures, but they sell them in a pack of five for 2.50 pounds ($4.13 US) Red Shirt sells a pack of 30 for $20 even after you factor in the shipping it's still cheaper.
