Basic History

The Moorkavin Commonwealth was formed three hundred years ago by the Moorkavin, F'Kalin, Corhaln and Mihalv, the latter three less technologically advanced species that were just starting to explore outside of their system, and the Moorkavin a more advanced power that had recently lost their home system when an unexplained phenomenon sterilized it completely. The Commonwealth grew and encompassed dozens of systems and new races which saw in the Commonwealth a good way to protect their populace from raiders

Then, five years ago, the F'Kalin, Corhaln and Mihalv started to get restless, especially at their perceived second-class status under the Moorkavin. They decided to leave the Commonwealth, which the Moorkavin was not happy about, but decided to allow. Then the three races, now proclaiming themselves the Federation of Independent Systems, declared sovereignty over Moorkavin Commonwealth member races. This the Commonwealth would not allow, and so both sides declared war.

A note on the FIS vessels.

Those vessels with the names of races after them are exclusive to that race. In any defensive scenarios (which I might put up later), only vessels of one race may participate, so a X'Kalok could not fight in a Corhaln defensive scenario.All other vessels are multi-racial, so can take part in defensive actions for any race

The Moharkil is the only multi-racial FIS unit that is built from the ground up as a combat vessel--all others are converted civilian vessels.

The Honkalakl B may NOT be used in any scenario designated 'Early War'. This is because the Honkalakl B was designed to provide heavy hitting power, especially with the ion lances, and take on the Moorkavik.

EDIT: The heavy ion lance was listed with a range of 15, which is incorrect. It has a range of 18. This has been changed.
