Topic: Nova shielding question

My collection of Starmada books have all been for Admiralty Edition thus far, so I haven't had a chance to see how the Nova edition (or, more specifically, the Star Fleet Universe adaptation) works properly just yet.

I was wondering: does Star Fleet Starmada Nova make use of faceted shielding, or are all of the shield boxes (such as in this sample Klingon C5) in a single all-around shield (as seen in A Call to Arms: Star Fleet)?

Also, to go back to Admiralty for a moment, is the current plan to maintain official support for both it and Nova editions of the game going forward (at least when it comes to the Star Fleet Universe edition), or will future books for Star Fleet Starmada be for Nova only?

I saw it mentioned in another thread that the ISC preview in CL47 is for both editions, so I was under the impression that, so far as its relation to ADB goes at least, there would be at least one Admiralty-era product line that would continue for the time being.

Re: Nova shielding question

By default, the shields in SFU: Nova are "all-around". There is an option to group them into "front" and "back" shields, however.

ADB has been asking me to support both editions, and I will comply so long as they keep asking.

I see, thanks. (In the case of the C5, would the top three groups of shield boxes be in front, and the bottom three in the back?)

Duly noted, thanks again.
