Topic: In-Game Jokes...

Pillbugs are an ancient in-game joke that even I have not yet figured out.
I'm sure it's like the group that I played D&D with back in the day....

We walked into a large underground cavern, and there was a brightly lit and painted building with gnomes inside. You could easily see inside because the building was half covered with windows.

Upon gettting closer, we noted a large Umber hulk. We readied weapons, and approached it, ready to accumulate much desired XP. Once we got closer and entered an area covered with pavestones, we saw it was on a pedestal.

We got closer, and saw that it was merely a statue - and there was a small circular grill on the base.....

Re: In-Game Jokes...

What's really fun is when the in game joke translates to reality. wink  We had one guy with a Paladin...who ended up with a fur fetish for reasons I won't go into.  So before the next game session, my (now ex-) wife made a furry dice bag for him.

Another character had some curse that made him think he was invisible...and he kept going around saying "you can't see me...I'm invisible" again and again and again.   The group all chipped in and bought him a tee shirt with that on it in 3" red letters with a note to shut up...we know. wink
