Not to mention a predilection for blasting chigs out of the sky while listening to a MiniDisc of the Ramones.
All ya need is a stack of pancakes and you're set dude!
I got real lucky when it first came out.... they were running a deal on it, and I picked it up for about $15.00
And yes, the shows are awesome...

So, if you sent me $15, we would both have spent the same amount...
I accept checks, money orders, and PayPal.
LOL...
I also got Serenity and the entire Firefly series, to include the episodes not shown on television for $30.00
I'll start keeping an eye out for specials for you all.... we have some video stores up this way that run awesome specials.

Yeah, I'd appreciate that a LOT...
The line of work I'm in doesn't lend itself well to watching regular TV. I didn't even hear about Firefly until it was off the air. Space Above And Beyond? A few shows a POOF! off the air.
The Ramones? eee.... sorry - Blondie, Devo, or Kraftwerk for me....
AERODYNAMIK!
Blondie.... were they grunge or metal?
Or uh.... grunge?

If you're asking that question, then you're either too young to remember them, or just not paying close enough attention. Not a put-down, just my opinion.
I'd call them 'post-punk pop', Wikipedia calls them 'New Wave', haven't heard that term in YEARS. They were real big in the New York club scene back in the day, they did a lot of danceable stuff. As a child of the Disco Era, they appealed to that set of tribal rhythms that are all too near the surface of what makes me, me.
Your statement reminds me of a line from "The Blues Brothers"....
"We have both kinds of music, Country AND Western..."
Saw a couple episodes of Space: AaB. It was a decent show from what I remember (coming from a guy who is watching the new Flash Gordon series, my opinions don't really matter). I never did see Firefly or even hear much about it until the movie about it came out. Awesome that they are out on DVD. I'll probably put SAaB on my Blockbuster online (after I finish watching Babylon 5 of course).
My mother in law got the Firefly series for Christmas so I'll have to borrow it...
Oh, Merry Christmas (10 minutes late).

Firefly is my favorite scifi. Hope you like it. The show was much better than the movie however. Much more interesting character development.
