Topic: anyone tried converting Star Wars to Starmada?
I've seen talk on this forum of converting Star Trek to Starmada. Has anyone tried converting the Star Wars Collectible Starship Miniatures to Starmada?

yes, I think there used to be some in the Yahoo list archives.
Might check there....
I would think step one would be to find a list of all the values for ships in the CMG -- does such a thing exist?

CMG?
CMG?
Collectible Miniatures Game.
I would look at the actual stats of the ships and make the conversions based on that using the CMG as a basis. Looking up the 'Calamari Cruiser' statistics, I found some really good information.

I would make all the fighters be fighter groups and using the customizable options to make X-wings, Y-Wings and Tie fighters different.
If you have ever been to the Starship Combat News site, in his personal stuff, he has made crossover games using the Full Thrust system for Conventions using a lot of the different space series - see http://star-ranger.com/SRStuff.htm - I would love to get all the miniatures that he has collected (I found some 'rebel cruisers' which are really Escort Frigates for my own crossover games in Starmada).
Good luck!

Actually, my first step was to ask here to see if anyone had already made the conversion. I didn't want to re-invent the wheel.

What's the name of the Yahoo group?
I looked in starmadaxshipyard, but I didn't see any Star Wars stuff there. Is there another group?

While there are a few Star Trek ships in the files section of the Yahoo group (mj12games), I don't believe those ships have any relationship to the CMG.
And I believe they are based on Starmada X.
