I just wanted to respectfully ask anyone who purchased Defiance via rpgnow to consider writing a quick blurb that can be posted on the website. While I of course would prefer good ratings, I am more concerned with comments that might help browsing gamers find out if D: VG is right for them, e.g. tactics, troop building, army lists, artwork, fluff, etc.

I try to go for informative as I'm not naturally inclined to "fanboyish rave review" style. Unfortunately, this probably makes my reviews somewhat bland and may give the reader an impression I didn't actually care a lot for the product. This is especially a problem when writing for the English-speaking audience. It sometimes seems that you have to label anything of value as "k000000lest thing since sliced bread" so as not make the review read as "suxxxx major a**"... Not sure if that's really the case of course, I just may frequent the wrong places :wink:
The lack of fanboy-ism in your review actually gave it more credibility IMO.
It's a good review, I enjoyed reading it. If I hadn't already bought the rules, your review would have convinced me to take the plunge.

I have to admit that I'm jealous of your fanboyz Demian. I've seen some reviews (and written a couple, even) but I've not seen such a finely written, well-reasoned review since I got out of the newspaper "bidness". It reminds me of my college days when people would write critcal papers about reviews of other people's writings.
On top of that, the non-english-speaking origins of the author embarass me somewhat, given my recent reviewof the Cold Navy 1.5 ships. Makes me want to go back and edit a little.

A sober solid and convincing review. Very useful, and even as a fanboy I enjoyed reading an excellent analysis of the game.
It would be cool if folks asked for Defiance to be reviewed at scifi.com. All you have to do is type in a few lines of text:
