Went to Border's last night, and saw that there are no less than THREE new (or at least re-released) editions of "The War of the Worlds" on the shelves...

Likely because Tom Cruise is in a new 'updated' version of it, based in the present day - there's also a 'period piece' being done (or already done) that's truer to the original.
I've got an old Berkley boxed version of it, that includes "The Time Machine", "The Invisible man", "The Island of Dr Moreau", "The First Men In The Moon", "The Food Of the Gods", and "In the Days of the Comet". Got it in High School (back in the 70's). The Cover price is 60 cents, and the covers don't even come close to matching the content.
Now that I think of it, it's a good time to be doing Wells....
