That would be a balsy Middy to order a Chief around. At least to do it and not make it sound like a request. Are Midshipmen even in the chain of command?  In the Army a Cadet is outside the chain of command and cannot issue lawful orders.

I think it's about the same in the Navy, not certain, as we only had three middies one summer on board my boat, and I went out of my way to stay away from them. They were essentially GIVEN sub qual pins - the same quals that the average submariner takes 3 YEARS to get in 3 weeks - officer or enlisted.

Well, this is probably all a moot discussion anyway.
In this new "spread the wealth" era, ranks will be going away.
Because we're all the same, right?
The "high number of posts" people should be expected to give us "lower number of posts" people some of their posts, right?
wink

In hell.

Re: Ranks

um, it is our duty as high posters to allow the administrators of the internet to re-distribute the post counts.

I am obligated to give 20% of my posts to the "under-posted"

Why not have randomly-created posts made by the same software that the Nigerians use, and then assign those to those that post in the lowest 20%?

820 Billion posts should be enough.... :geek:
