And a blog is just a web page, that happens to be updated more regularly...
Honestly, I don't really "get" the whole "share everything going on in my life with the entire world" thing -- I have no blog, I have never been on Facebook/MySpace... but I might actually twitter. It seems pretty low maintenance, and I think I agree with the apparently counter-intuitive claim that twitter is a "modern antidote to information overload."
Apparently, we share the view that I don't have to tell the entire bloody world how my life is going. I don't mind sharing it with friends and family...
A lot of my mom's side of the family is on Facebook. I do have a blog somewhere, and I'm a 'member' on sites where old friends from the military or gamers with similiar interests might get hold of me. I used to post my game ideas on Geocities, and I still do some on Yahoo mailing lists...
I probably won't Twitter, as there's a limit to how much you can write in a post, and I have email and Facebook.
Facebook has a little mailer widget that sends you a mail about activity there, so I don't even go there unless someone nudges me. As little upkeep as email.
