Topic: New Unofficial Home For Starmada Play-By-Post Online

I started a Google Group for people to play Starmada online now in a play by post fashion. Anyone can join (google account) so no need for invitations though anyone can send invites. It is open for all and I maintain it so that people have a place they can all join in and play together. If anyone is interested just follow the link and check out the welcome message which should take care of most questions and concerns.

Everything is up in it's entirety too. I have a couple other assisting tools I'm working on as well which I should hopefully have done in the near future including a full ASCII gameboard with coordinates in jpeg format, and a fully fleshed demo game already posted so people can see how a full game will look once past setup.

I hope this will be something people will like and give people a place to play online, esp. until the vassal update is complete.

Hey, Vassal won't be for everyone, so this is cool to have as an option. smile

I was unaware about that for Vassal. But then that means this should help. I'm hoping that it will lead to more interest in Starmada and get people playing it more by giving an ease of access to players. So hopefully people get into this and it proves a fruitfull effort for Starmada in general.

I also got the playing board with coordinates done as well, but decided to keep it consitent with the rest of the files and made it pdf rather than a jpeg.

I didn't mean that not everyone can use the vassal mod. I meant not everyone will want to use it. Different strokes for different folks, as they say. But it will be freely available to all!

Whoops my misinterpretation. As you can see that I thought you meant that this was more of an inclusive factor rather than personal preference. I was reading it surface level and not really reading into it. My mistake.
