One of the reasons why I'm sticking with SX instead of SAE is because of the technology modifiers, especially for weapons and specials like fire control, armour and so on.

Do you round before taking tech modifiers into effect, or after?

Heres the example:

A hull 20 ship being designed is given the Cloaking Device piece of equipment. Normally, this would be 492 units (4913*10%). However, it has a +1 in technology, so would it then be:

349 (rounded afterwards) or:
350 (rounded twice, once before, once after)?

The first one -- tech modifiers are applied prior to rounding.

Okay, and then for weapons simply take the pre-tech modifier value and calculate the ORat?
