Topic: The Axis of Time

Anyone read The Axis of Time trilogy by John Birmingham?  If not, it makes great source material for Starmada: Dreadnaughts.

Imagine Navy ships from 2021 accidentally transported back in time to just before the battle of Midway and the historical mayhem that ensues after they virtually annihilate the U.S Pacific fleet.

Nope, but I saw a movie adaptation of it starring Kirk Douglas.  big_smile

Believe me, Axis is far superior to Final Countdown.

Final Countdown seemed sorta cheesy...both times (on TV - sure as hell didn't pay to see it). I only watch movies when I've NOTHING to do, I'm home sick, or I get drug to one by my wife or kids...

Got a plot synopsis? mini-review?  smile
