Topic: Starmada Conversions

Hi folks. Since stumbling across Starmada this month and building my own fleets for my home-brew setting, I've also been on the hunt for adaptations of other "official" settings to see how some things stack up. I've got Klingon Armada, but are there resources out there on the web for later ST universe ships, for Star Wars, etc.? I see the Bab 5 conversion in the "Files" section on this site -- that's the sort of thing I'm talking about. If there isn't an existing one for Jovian Chronicles / Lightning Strike, is anyone interested in seeing that? (I'm considering doing one if I can't find one...)

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/317997/session-report-starmada-ae-june-5th-2008 had a few Star Wars ships, but nothing extensive.

Re: Starmada Conversions

I've found 3 fleet lists for Star Trek (Federation, Klingon and Romulan) here.

But still looking for Dominion, Cardassian and Borg if Possible.

Re: Starmada Conversions

I did a ST conversion some time ago when I entered Starmada, including Feds, Roms, Klingons and Cardassians

Re: Starmada Conversions

PM me your E-Mail and I'll send you what I have in ST ships

Re: Starmada Conversions

I've been playing with Star Trek ships. I've produced a fair number of ships covering TNG/TOS and have 1 Enterprise Era ship.
Trekmada :-
Borg(5). Cardassians(10). Dominion(5). Federation(25)TNG/TOS.Ferengi (1 however it might not make it into the finished fleet).Klingon(18)TNG/TOS/ENT.Orion (8ish)TOS. Romulan (17)TNG/TOS. Species 8472 (4).

I've used tech +/-2.I have alot of these designs at Tech +/-5 with TNG being at 2+ but Borg and Species 8472 at Max 5 tech. The ships for the other races are bigger and slower otherwise very similar. I changed to a narrower tech band because my friends perfered the faster, smaller, ships. They go bang quicker...

This is still a work in progress and not all the weapons systems have been playtested yet
If you want any of these e mail me and I'll pass them on.

Re: Starmada Conversions

I wanna see those Species 8472 ships O.O

Re: Starmada Conversions

Which ship is that?  Was that from a Star Trek Voyager episode?

Re: Starmada Conversions

Wow!
Definitely give them the regeneration option and heavy shields...

Re: Starmada Conversions

I've done Star Wars conversions for an earlier Starmada Version (X I think) based on a spreadsheet which converted canon data into approximate SX values. I think I still have the sheet and old conversions somewhere if anyone is interested. But beware, the conversion file was rather messy and WIP.

The focus on the conversion was on squadron/fleet battles and with squadrons I mean at least a squadron (4) of Star Destroyers so the ships were all a bit smaller and not up to Hull 20 afaik... well there is always a Super Star Destroyer for that...

Re: Starmada Conversions

Well I finally got off my bum and posted TREKMADA in the files section
150ish ships have fun and enjoy
