Are the Brigade X stats still usable with the Starmada AE rules?

Some conversion between the two would be necessary. Particularly in how equipment and small craft are now dealt with. There was also some changes to weapon traits and the formula for computing the SU cost.

You're not going to get straight over conversions. It's merely going to be a matter of getting as close as you can. Difficulty may vary.

I have done some straight conversions from X to ADED, using the rules/information in the back of the ADED core rulebook.  They are all available here:
