just noticed last night that the four book armies have a typo in their tactical ratings. the last three Tactical Aspects are listed as Tactical Advantage, Failed Figure Morale Test and Failed Unit Morale Test but the actual Values are listed so that Tactical Advantage should be last.


and i know it's probably way too late to say this, but how about putting the page numbers near the  outer edge of the page instead of near the spine/binding???  pretty please with sugar on top ?!?!?!?!?????

okay, i'll stop whining now.

you know, changing 4" AoE's to 3".......stuff like that.

I'm not sure I'm understanding the need for this change.  4" AOE is allowed, though we were unable to fit 4" templates into the layout.

Have you found any other errata in the sample lists?

oh.......ummmm......i misunderstood something then.

so there's a 2, 3, and 4 inch template that can be purchased. what is the 1" template used for ??


i figured out what i got less than brilliant about. the errata says to change the 4" template to 3", but it's specifically for page 245 (the actual template) and NOT for the weapon tables (table 2.7). :oops:  :oops:

sometimes i worry me.

Hey Jim,

Sorry abut the confusion, we mislabeled the templates on page 245.  There is no need for a 1" template in the current rules that I know of, so count it as a bonus. :-)

Uhm, the book was designed to have the page numbers appear on the outer edge of the pages... do you have a printed copy from rpgnow, or have you printed and bound your own copy? Just curious - if you bought it like that, there is definitely somethin' wrong...   sad

Ah - I suppose the present PDF has the colour cover as the first page of the file, with the inner title page immediately following it... in order for a print out to come out properly at, say, Kinko's, there needs to be a blank page inserted between the cover page & the title page.

That way the page number & descriptive tabs would be on the outer margins where they should be! Hmmm...

the printed at Kinko's book i have has the following:
(the " / " denotes front/back of a page)

1)  color cover/blank

2)  blank/blank

3)  b&w cover/Defiance: this is the chronicle of such an era(cover art)

4)  credits page/page #003(start of table of contents)


i'll just have to remember to tell them that the page numbers are supposed to be in the "outer" margins when i get the updated PDF printed.

I think the Hegemony list is accurate, but you're right: the others are mixed up.  These three changes have been added to the errata, which should be updated on the website within a few days.

Once an updated PDF is finished, the revision will be sent for free to all those who purchased it via RPGNow. For obvious reasons, revised hard copies cannot be provided for free... smile

i just checked the rpgnow site, it lists defiance as 35.4 mb. the dl i have is 33,884 kb. should i email rpgnow, cause my email addy hasn't changed in years ?? how will the update work ??

you may want to hold out just a little longer - I have an art pic nearly done that will be inserted into the layout, as well as a recently discovered bit of errata to correct, and then the file will be updated [hopefully] one last time. I hope to have my end of it done by the end of next week, as a rough timeline. smile

Each time we update the file, I send a notification out to those who have purchased it that a new version is available. You are then given a new download link.

If you haven't already, make sure you set your preferences on RPGNow so that you can receive notices from manufacturers...
