Topic: Brigade Price now VAT free for ROW

right, Tony's done a sterling job and the website will now take account of VAT depending on your location.

if you are non-european at tick the ROW button here

http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/Frames/Shopping/select.html

then the prices shown on the website will be reduced by 17.5%  tongue

you'll see this in the cart.

For us europeans the VAT is added at the end

Steve

ps remember the non-celtos lines will go up by 5% ina few weeks so be quick

Re: Brigade Price now VAT free for ROW

is the site supposed to do something after I click on ROW?

Re: Brigade Price now VAT free for ROW

The ROW icon show now be outlined in red - which shows that you've set your shipping destination. You can go off and happily shp away. On each product page you should be told the shipping cost to your chosen destination and the fact that VAT will be deducted from the price.

Any more problems, we're only too happy to help.

Re: Brigade Price now VAT free for ROW

The VAT or Value Added Tax is a GST or Goods and Services Tax. It applies to some things and not others in an attempt to look like it has a social conscience. It's a consumption tax not a production tax so people outside its AOE or Area of Effect automatically save against its attack, which does 20% damage to the subject of any Purchase action within its AOE.

or

We now have to charge VAT, value added tax, to all sales, so in effect our website prices are VAT inclusive. This only applies to European sales, therefore anyone outside Europe - getting less each year :-) - doesn't get charges VAT. Hence their purchases are 17.5% cheaper than website price.
