Topic: Additional Weapon Traits for NOVA

As I've been slogging through my setting, I had a couple of thoughts regarding weapon traits that might be good for the Nova edition. One goes back to the Admiralty edition, and one is unique to NOVA.

1) Fighter/Drone/Mine-only and/or Ship-only - Some weapon concepts make a little more sense if their targeting is limited. Back in AE there were fighter-only and ship-only traits, which kinda make sense. For example, my Phalanx CIWS idea is a point-defence system; great at putting out light rounds to kill light objects, but not really designed for ship-to-ship combat. Or, say, a capital-scale weapon turret - not really the type of weapon able to come to bear on a flight of fast moving fighters.

2) Non-Splitable weapons - While being able to split up a bank's fire is a great idea, again for some weapons concepts it doesn't make a lot of sense. For example, my 'Nuclear Cruise Missiles'; they're large BAS, expendable weapons - a single missile. It's not something that should be able to be split up and attack two targets (especially since they're catastrophic and proximity  :twisted: )

The Fighter/Ship exclusive traits were x0.6 and x0.7 respectively in AE, was thinking maybe x0.75 and x0.9 for NOVA?

As for non-splitable weapons, was thinking x0.95; bit of a hindrance, but not too much?

These sound like a good idea.  Also, I would like Dx4 & Dx5 for some larger weapons.
