Hi Daniel,
Looks great.  It will be very helpful for new players.  If they have access to the Drydock ship-designer it will make calculating much easier.  I like the idea of giving new players some examples of Starmada starship weapons.  This will help them get stated more easily.

This is interesting...

I'm printing it out so I can look at it at home but it seems good, and the shield space increase makes sense here without the weapon modifications...

I'm still against it for 'vanilla' SUE though...
