Topic: Time I chilled

Hey -- I get passionate about stuff.  Sometimes to the point of obnoxiousness.

Really, I was considering this step before, and I gotta go with it now.

Time to buckle down and address some other things that are going on.  My girl is back from Iraq, my kids are trying to transition to a new home environment (after 15 months, the divorce -- very cordial but still very stressful -- is finally done and over with), work is amping up and there are 1,000 issues stressing me out.  Which I'm probably displacing on to folks here. Surprisingly, outside of the MJ12games community I'm considered a very cheerful guy. I looked at some of the stuff I've posted here lately, and I'm kinda shocked. 

The game's gotta evolve, and I think to do that it needs new input.  So I'm gonna bow out.  I've had a blast, and if folks need help with future efforts, lemme know.  But I'm gonna steer clear of things from here on out, and I'm gonna keep the forum clear of my particular funk from now on.  Dan, if ya want to write something, send me a letter.  Ya can lay out the general idea and I'll try to spin it.

Man, don't worry about it.  We all have bad days/weeks/months.  I don't think you've been out of line at all, and during the time I've been here I've seen your input as valuable.

Matt-

Hope things start to settle down for you... but I understand the need to step away from time to time. For what it's worth, I haven't thought you were "out of line" in any way-- I just wanted to make sure we didn't give the impression that development of the game was limited to a small group of people, or that input was not needed or wanted; I'm trying to keep interest up and involvement at a maximum.

Anyway, as circumstances allow, please remain active on the forum, and I'll definitely be "calling"... big_smile

Geez Matt...if you're thinking you've been all of that bad I've gotta be in the real hopper. *chuckles* 

Understand the life thing too...got a lot flyin around at my end also.  Good luck mate and drop a line now and then, eh! :wink:

Eh, you weren't being obnoxious. Far from it, in fact--its good to have someone expressing their ideas. Why, if you was on one of the boards I frequent, you'd be considered too damn nice...:D

But if you're being stressed out, then taking the mental equivalent of a breather is always a good idea. I have the same problem myself, sometimes.
