I did help with the playtesting for WHI and really liked some of the background materials......

It could be fun...but unfortunately I won't meet several of the proposed conditions. Noone in my neck of the woods to play against for starters. 
Sounds like a fun contest and I wish I had the time to summit anything. The miniatures look really cool...

I agree there. Those ships are pretty sweet, but I'm not too sure on the actual Hostile Intent rules. After reading the primer, it seems like too much math (see targeting rules, the vector rules and 3d), but I like the damage system so far as I can see. It might be worth looking into.

I posted my take on the WHI Kikoku ships to Star Ranger; they are in SX format, though based on a custom sheet, so the point values might be a bit off. I converted the B5W stats to SX to create the sheets.
It is at least a starting point until a formal contest or something better comes along

I thought the 3d thing would suck, but he's got it down to one of the best 3d systems I've seen, it works both visually and target-ingly (is that a word? it is now)
I have to say I was impressed with his 3d system as he explained in 5 minutes at Origins and I actually "got it"
Perhaps I should actually try the system before I 'badmouth' it (especially since you are giving it praise)... I'm still scared of an armor save (for obvious [large company's name removed for TM sake] reasons).

I have played WHI and it is fast and easy to play honestly I found it easier than B5wars all in all.
And I still have nighmares about thoses Damn Plasma Torps eating up my poor ships.
