Well Tony tells me that the first 6 are just about done, 3 Brits and 3 Russkies
We'll put some pics up soon...

Dare I say it?
Woot woot!
Very Cool...
I've been looking forward to seeing what the metal version of my ships are gonna look like....
Do not make me turn off the smileys.
Bully!
:? 8)        :?:
I hate smileys
They are too distracting, I'd rather see some goofy guys eye blinking at me

Verily, I say...
Woot!

Oh... my... God...
These are WICKED COOL!
Ditto and I think Dan and I are on at the same time replying to the same messages... Ah to follow such greatness!

Holy spit, those are sharp.
The wife's gonna kill me.
Steve...
These models are exceptional!
I'm already thinking of ways to convert these to work with Starmada. Shave of the turrets and toss on some GHQ Micronaughts Turrets to give them a more 'futuristic' feel to them.
I especially like the sail configurations you have going on with these. Very inventive.
My compliments to you and your crew, excellent work on them!

I think Tony did an exceptional job of converting my artwork into lead.
Whereas I merely implied windows with textures, he managed to actually put them in. I can see where he had to diverge from the art in a few cases, but he didn't shortchange us any in the way it was done. Obviously, there are going to have to be some accomodations to the material he has to work with.
Great job, I look forward to seeing the next batch, and more photos of the existing stuff - and of some paintjobs!
I've tried making minis myself, I know how hard it is. Cudos!

Heretic!
Must... play... Iron... Stars...
Seriously -- if there's enough interest, I could whip up a conversion for the IS ships to S:X.
Dan
I don't even know why folks would need to carve them up.
With all the sails and their lines, a lot of these ships could be pieces for an eldar like race.
must admit we thought martians for Aeronef...
many uses it seems - great design Mike
Steve @ brigade
Arrgh!
What's the first thing someone says when the IS minis are promoted on TMP?
"or they would work with FULL THRUST...."
Arrgh!
Dan
Dan
I've blown a fuse on there before about thread hijacking and got blasted
Having said that I mentioned Aeronef above
Reasons why it shouldn't be a free world I reckon

Well, they would, wouldn't they? They'll also work with Starmada, or A Sky Full of Ships, or Red Chicken Rising, or Parzival's GOBS rules. Heck, I'd be tempted to use them as retro-tech Eldar in BFG if I was still playing.
Really *good* minis make everybody happy...and at least it will spread some awareness of the fact that Iron Stars is out there, and just in time for the expansion.

quick update:
we just left the Brigade manufacturing complex (hope I remembered to lock the garage door...)
Left a big pile of IS lead on the table - the production moulds have truned out just great
All systems are ready for lift-off
Steve
God I feel like I'm turning into Mongoose publishing

Yippee!
(Can I say "yippee"? Perhaps "woot" would be more appropriate?)
Did the Bantam get produced? Can we get a pic?
Dan

now to cast for salute!
The Spiridoff and Butakoff look awesome! Nice work guys.
(not that the Bantam doesn't also look good)
Overall I am really impressed with how these figs are turning out in 3D I thought the concept art offered a real challenge.
Really nice work all around.
