The text is written and the cover art has been created. This leaves layout and editing, which is no small feat - I'd say we're only 25% finished with that portion.
Still, I think 3 months to availability seems realistic...it'll probably be 64 pages and retail for around $12-15 (less for pdf).

It has three basic parts:
1. Rules changes and new rules for D:VG
2. Rules for and design tables for close quarters battle (D:CQB)
3. Example army lists that copmpare and contrast VG with CQB.

And maybe a bit more info about what's going to be in it would be real nice.
Sorry for the delay in response. I'm asking the layout artist how far things are along and will get back as soon as I know.

It looks like May is the target month. This is a realistic deadline, we didn't want to be hopeful and then be late (again).
Sorry to all who are waiting on this one - I had a serious problem back in the fall, all my back-ups of my D:EoA layout work were corrupted somehow. I had to start over [almost] from scratch again. Currently I have nearly re-done everything to the point where I was at last fall. So I am hopeful that I can finish around the end of May.
And don't worry - I have been doing extra back-ups like a paranoid android... everysingle time I work on it, I finish off by burning it to disc right away. Now if something happens again, the losses will be very minimal!

I ask this from painful experience: are you checking each and every backup to absolutely confirm that the burn went right? If you are, and you want to be the final step in paranoid: mail a successful backup to someone you trust, just incase something nasty happens you will have an offsite backup.
But, like I said. Check your backups.
I hate to bring this up again... but I have not been checking here as often as I should. Is there news on this?

ahh... I am just hammering out a few pieces of art for the D:EoA book and then it'll be done. I had thought to be done by end of May originally. Can't be more specific other than soon...
So...... any more news???? :?
Seems D:EoA (and D:VG before that) is like the famous Finnish scifi parody movie... Comes out when it's done, or maybe a little earlier if we get lucky 
Is Star Wreck worth purchasing?
Depends. IMCO it's certainly not as good as some are making it out to be.
The qualitative difference between the heinous acting (especially by the producer, creator and special effects whiz Samuli Torssonen in the leading role as Emperor Pirk, some of the others are actually fair for not being professionals) and the Hollywood-quality space effects is jarring at best. The plot is not all bad although it mostly serves as an excuse to get into yet more space ship combat. All in all it's decent, or even good if you take it as a glorified fan film.
Note that I have only seen the same version that is available as a download. The Imperial Edition for sale currently has improved and more original space ship designs and effects so that it can be marketed without a fear of a lawsuit. I'm assuming the plot and the acting are still the same tho...

EDIT: in the related news, there's apparently a bootleg DVD version of the "original edit" of SW:ITP going around in USA which I would personally be averse of purchasing. Should look like this:

Nice work there once again, although I think the right wing gun "clips" could be a bit of a problem in some situations, as it doesn't look like the gun can swivel sidewise for take off/landing... And the muzzle flare on the front flyer is perhaps a tad bit over the top.
Are these something from the official Defiance universe or just generic attack drones BTW?

More or less generic - Demian wrote up a generic "Imperial" flavoured force, and I wanted to do a few illustrations for it since the book would be lacking artwork otherwise. They do not belong in the Official Defiance Universe.
I also ignored my usual tendency to strive for a little more 'realism' for the most part this time out...

So now that we know what you guys have been busy with lately (Starmada Admiralty) does that mean that there might be some action on Defiance CQB soon?????
So, 4 months on - any news, any at all, even a slight rumour of the possibility of maybe somone thinking of doing something soon 8)
