Topic: If you haven't seen this...

You REALLY should take a look.  Especially if you like star map generation and such.  Take the time and download the trial version too.  It'll blow you outta your socks!  I'll be using this for some Starmada/ VBAM type stuff... 8)   AstroSynthesis v2.0 3D starmap generator

Do you still have to pay for an uncrippled version? Looks like you still do...

Yup...if you want the full blown, it's a pay thing.  But for playing and seeing what it can do, the trial version works great!  One thing I found with the FM explorer attached to the Astro set is that you can do various erosion processes over 10k to 10mil years...it's rather interesting to watch. big_smile

Re: If you haven't seen this...

 My wife got me the full blown Astrosynthesis V2.0 program.

Turns out that one of the default templates is the 20LY around Sol...which is the very same that was used for Wardogs. smile  I'll be able to include a 2d version of the map now.

Not to mention set up some primo cool galactic maps for starmada.

That's very useful....make up some maps and throw in the labels, very much better than the thing I did in Paintshop. Do one up, the three(+?) of use can haggle over locations and such...

Yeah...and some backdrops for scenes in Wardogs?
