A design that means that, no matter how you attack, you'll still get hit, and quite possibly the only ship that really needs cryogenic storage for in-system patrols. However, it has the stealth generator, long-range sensors and long-range weapons as well, along with four full drone salvoes.

I randomly chose a couple of weapon abilities and/or special equipment items and then designed a ship to take advantage of the traits. I ended up with Overthrusters, Point-Defense, Re-Roll PEN and Increased DMG. The two weapon abilities make a nice combo, a good to-hit value for the main guns means lots of re-rolls to insure good rolls for the increased damage. I included the “Myopic Railgun” to keep any pesky fighters away.

Here you go. This vessel is designed to keep the enemy at bay with its stealth generators and the long-range weaponry. Its spinal mount gives it the opportunity to trade blows with enemy vessels who also try the stealth generator as a way to avoid the ion and rail lances.

I might just test a battle between the Imperial and the Juggernaught. Might be interesting to see...:)

This ship is designed to support the battle squadrons. Security teams represent the Admiral's Guard which accompanies any command cruiser.

Heres the variant of the Imperial Cruiser. Its designed to combat smaller craft more easily, so it swaps its lances for normal cannons and a much better Reality Warp Generator. However, Commonwealth captains much prefer the firepower aspect, so these vessels are uncommon, one maybe appearing for every two Imperials.

Here is another interesting, “don't get hurt” design. This one has no passive defenses (except the Stealth Generator) and relies on its speed to keep out of harm's way. All of its weaponry is remotely deployed. Fifteen Battlesats provide five waves of multi-purpose beam weaponry and the fifty drones can comprise five massive waves of direct drone attack. The sunbursts should serve to keep any enemy fighters away (along with any freshly launched Battlesats).

Designed to serve as an escort for the larger ships in the SSS, this class provides direct fire support to supplement the stand off weapons of the larger classes. Lacking the usual complement of battlesats, this class has decent ship mounted particle weaponry to fend off enemy fighters, drones, marines and battlesats. An unusually high number of sunbursts also serve this class well in its defensive role. Due to its need for extra maneuverability, this class is equipped with not only a higher speed than the bulk of the SSS but overthrusters as well.

Santa's newest sled, designed in 1990, is manned (elved?) by a crew of almost 500 veteran elves. Capable of covert toy insertion missions in any part of the globe, due to its advanced cloaking technology, the Red Sled has an impressive speed for its size. Its only armament is the single 360 degree Anti-Grinch Ray Gun which also works quite well on Scrooges, Bah-Humbuggers, and other anti-holiday types (such as the IRS). One interesting side note is that all of the reindeer were put out to stud, drastically increasing the size of the Finnish reindeer herds.

This is one of many possible designs for the Loramian Royal Kingdom, but I don't think it will be the one.

Basically, Loramian Navy doctrine is based around what they term 'battleships' that do most of the killing. However, they also have a small number of auxiliary vessels that aid the battleships and the Navy in certain roles.

The TaLerKor is the largest combat warship in the LN, and is designed to punch a hole in practically any fleet formation. Its got forward-facing weapons and lots of them, and the basic defence package (heavy shields, armour plating and electronic counter-measures). The only thing is doesn't have is a really effective anti-fighter defence, and that is where the auxiliaries come in.

And heres the lightest combat unit of the LN, the TaLerDor. Its designed for just one purpose--to slam into the flanks of an enemy. Its fast and its deadly. I had to rip the hyperdrive out of the ship in order to give adequate weaponry, but seeing as the TaLerDor would either be alongside a TaLerKor or be with a scout cruiser, both with hyperdrives, it wouldn't matter.

A good 'pick-up and play' fleet might be one TaLerKor and two TaLerDors (2019 CR), which would give you a great force.

With four Sniper-class vessels, the main battle is going to be drones and battlesats vs ships. So I'd guess the main approach would be to try and ride out the attack (maybe try and get hits on the approaching drone swarm), and go after the battlesats. The Snipers themselves are a lost cause--all they have to do is just launch and get the hell out, so the main weaponry of the Loramian vessels--the rail cannons--are going to be lost.

Well, I've got myself a battle for Sunday, with these two behemoths.

Nominally, these two ships aren't finalised designs, but I wanted to fight a Starmada game and these two races seem like the perfect opponents (as they are like a Centauri-Narn thing) in a VBAM campaign I am just starting to do.
