Is that the fourth book in the Ringworld series? I seem to recall having read three ringworld books in the past... and this is the first new one that I have heard of since then - did I miss any others?
If its the best one yet, I shall have to pick it up also...

If we purchased the PDF, do we get the updated PDF for free, or do we have to purchase it again?

Is the PDF errata being fixed "on the fly" on the POD hardcopy version, or does that need to wait for some kind of major update? Not sure how the technology works...

Dan or Demian may correct me if I am wrong, but I believe what will happen is that anyone who has bought the pdf will get a free update that will include any errata discovered to this point - I have already made the corrections to the master layout file. This updated pdf will also include player army stat sheets [working on those right now...].
I can't speak for already purchased POD copies, however...

Works for me too - every message "from" is prefaced with MJXII, but the specific forum it came from always follows...

However, I still say the ultimate fault is the printers', since they formatted the cover for an 8.25" x 10.75" book, but printed it as 8.5" x 11".

Yeah, that kinda stands out as a major source of error... did you say previously that they *only* print 8.5" x 11"? Or can they do odd sizes, but just erroneously slapped it on 8.5 x 11?

Also, the print quality is very high, and the binding looks to be solid.
I gotta get me a copy of that! :wink:
But on the cover, there's a white band running down the outside edge, where the graphic stopped (yes, there was a bleed provided, but it appears that the POD provider cropped it at 8.25".)
I hope that it wasn't an error on my part - I did put that bleed on the cover, but was it enough? Or perhaps my PDF conversion was faulty, and excluded it?

What happened to the cool look of the forum? alla sudden theres a big phpbb logo, and everything essentially looks more like the yahoo group since it got its facelift... :?:
. . . but I don't think that will isolate people since I like to look at the other stuff as well, and I think most people would also.
I agree - I just joined in the forum fun last night, but I immediately like it much better than the yahoo group.
I still check into posts for games that i am not as interested in, just to see what folks are talkin' 'bout. I do miss getting emails sent directly to my own email account, but the forum has a such a great layout system that its worth that loss, IMHO.
