                                                            You are quite welcome, converting these to Starmada AE has provided me with much entertainment at no cost but time.

                                                              It probably would be possible to use straight Starmada for these conversions, but I like to see how far it stretchs without breaking. If you find the ship"s overpowered for your purposes, it is fairly easy to re-do them with shorter ranges for each Weapon (divide the Range by half or even a third), reduce the Rate-of-Fire for each Weapon, reduce the numbers of Weapons in each Battery (especially cutting the number that fire in the same arc), reduce the strength of each Weapon ( an Impact or Damage of 2 can just as easily be an Impact or Damage of 1 as long as you cut them all equally), or even delete a redundant Battery (one that fires in the same bearing with the same Weapons). However, if you do this with Traveller, then reducing the very large capital ships to the size commonly played in Starmada will reduce many smaller ships to such a size that you must re-calculate them as Flotillas or even Fighters. As to the fighters in Traveller, they would be reduced to non-existence.

                                                                If one keeps the scale consistant in a conversion from Traveller to Starmada, either there are Absurdly large ships at one end of the scale, or there are negligibly small ships at the other. When I get around to posting the versions of these that are purely Tactical (that have everything of only Strategic importance removed), they will most of them be smaller. It may be quite a while before I get around to this, as I will have to find the time. For one thing. I need to correct all the errors that I have found in my existing postings ( you never know how uncommonly capable you are at making mistakes until you try doing something like this).

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              For those of you who would penalize this ship for its' Hull size by adding +1 to any To-Hit dice roll against it, the Combat Rating would drop to 1, 894 CR.  The VBAM Cost would be 58 and the VBAM Defensive Value would be 44. Without a Black Globe, its' Combat Rating would be 1, 656 CR ( its' VBAM Cost would be 57 and its' VBAM Defensive Value would be 44) and the penalized version without the Black Globe would have a Combat Rating of 1, 412 CR (its' VBAM Cost would be 55 and its' VBAM Defensive Value would be 23).

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                How we should represent the transfer of fuel from one vessel to another is  a question not addressed by the rules of either Starmada or Victory By Any Means.I think that this should not have any function in the Tactical game. The simplest way to treat the problem in Strategic play would be to say that the ships' Hull Size multiplied by the number of Fuel points that it has represents the volume of fuel that it has. As a example, suppose that a Vrapkenchkinj class Light Battlecruiser has emptied its tanks and requires to be refueled by a Iadiadlsiz class Tanker. The Iadiadlsiz has Hull 37 and 94 Fuel. This gives its' tanks a volume of 5, 587 Fuel. The Vrapkenchkinj has 9 Hull and 36 Fuel. This gives its tanks the capacity to hold 324 Fuel by volume. If the Iadiadlsiz refuels the Vrapkenchkinj, it will have 5, 263 volume of Fuel left. This is enough that it has 142 points of Fuel left after refueling a single Vrapkenchkinj. It could refuel another 16 Vrapkenchkinj and still have enough fuel left to maneuver. If you wish to undertake the complexity of keeping track of your Ship's fuel allotments in a Starmada based Traveller Campaign, this seems a simple enough way to do so.

While I should have probably spent the spare time re-calculating the DRAT and CR of my previous Traveller postings, I found it more fun to convert the Over-sized (not a Super Star Destroyer, but it's on its' way there) Zhodani Consulate Idlev class Superbattleship to Starmada AE. I have compiled the massive missle batteries and made a chart to substitute for To-Hit dice rolling for these batteries. You will still have to roll for Impact and Damage (which sadly will deter anyone from actually playing with this ship).I have also compiled the Repulsor Batteries into groups of five and incorporated the resulting drop in Hits when they are used to defend against a missle salvo into the above mentioned chart. I have made an overstrained modification to the Plasma S Torpedo that I have been using as a Standard Nuclear Missle Battery, but this was the only way that I could see of fitting so many missles into a reasonably sized ship. The only possible use for such a large ship is to play it as an entire fleet (preferably against a single vessel of similar size). It may take a while to finish posting this, as I must cope with being cut off by the computer in the Public Library.

I put them in the Weapons Batteries because it convenienced me to, but I could have put them under Special Equipment just as well (and will do so for Repulsors with a Rate Of Fire of 1).

I am making a purely arbitrary decision for the purpose of these conversions that the Zhodani have a complement of Psychics aboard their ships that is 10% the size of their Marine complement.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          This seems as good a way as any to do it. The biggest problem with an absorption screen in Starmada is costing the Defensive Rating so that it balances in play with more conventionally shielded vessels. I do not know how to do this yet.

While they were for the most part easy to convert, trying to accomodate an expanded field shunt showed me some flaws in the way that I was costing an absorbtion shield. Treating them as shields for the purpose of determining their Defensive Rating overcosts them. Instead, I shall treat them as a somewhat cheap form of Ablat. I still suspect that this gives an excessively high Defensive Rating, but I do not see how to arrive at a closer answer.

This is then used as the value of Hull for further calculation. In the present example: (14+ ((2/3)*(25+30))*12/(6-0)*1.2*1.5 = 182.4+7.6+3 = 193 DRAT. If I had used the Langston Field value as though it were a Shield value to calculate the Defensive Rating, It would have come out 313 DRAT.

This means that a ship with a high Tech Level will cost more than a ship with a low Tech Level. I think that I decided to use this House Rule as a deterrent against Pocket Battleships.

However, it will not be at an advantage against a similar Strategic Cost invested in lower Tech Level ships.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    If I am engaged in a long Campaign (one where Research, Development, and increase in general Tech Level is important), I set the General Tech Level of a player as being equal to Tech Level 0 for purposes of this calculation. His construction bays would be permitted to construct ships at Levels up to three Levels higher or lower than his general Tech Level. I often label these provisional Tech Levels as Archaic, Primitive, Crude, Standard, Advanced, Cutting-Edge, and Experimental.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Players at a higher general Technical Level would be able to field a fleet at the same Technical Level as their enemies, but at less expense per ship. This is likely a better way to win a long Campaign than trying to produce a small quantity of high tech but very expensive ships. It also encourages spending more of one's Strategic Income on raising one's general Tech Level than on researching more powerful weapons with exotic Traits like Catastrophic Damage.

I find that this is a very flexible and easy to adapt set of rules. It was well worth the money that I spent on purchasing the books.

My choice of Tech Level makes it impossible to get both the quadruple Interdiction Field generators and the required Level of Shields into the same ship.

They will plainly not go all the way around. If you like, you could put the Faceted Shield that is in the Forward (G) Arc into the Rear (L) Arc. After all, Faceted Shields are only supposed to have fixed values  during Tactical Combat. I see no reason why they could not be adjusted between Strategic Turns.
