Perfect! Thanks smile

I'm also not sure how to translate the 'treated as' increase in shield ratings to individual facets

...For each ESG on a starship, its shield rating is treated as one higher (maximum 5) for purposes of defending against seeker attacks. (Note: ESGs affect drones and suicide shuttles in this way but have no effect on plasma torpedoes)...

though that can be calculated from the core rulebook. For this duel (between two Lyran and two LDR ships that won't really be a factor. This is going to be more about more phaser 1 batteries on the Lyran heavy cruisers vs Gatling phasers on the LDR war cruisers.... I'll master that ESG one of these days. Thanks smile

Thanks... I remembered that they weren't effective against direct fire energy weapons, but I was wondering about photons. I'll have another look at that page. Thanks again smile

Playing Distant Armada Admiralty Edition  and I'm flying a Lyran for the first time. If the 'extra' shows 2 ESGs, does that mean you can only use it twice? Seems like that but I can't find the answer. And at what point do you use it? Is it used immediately in defense or do you have take a chance on when you'll need it? And is there any provision for using it offensively like you can in other games? Thanks smile

Thanks.... I have Admiral edition which doesn't explain that. Still leaves that Kzinti battle cruiser capable of inflicting 32 hurts if they get through. Thanks again smile

More accurately, how can I tell how many drones my ship has in its stores? For example, if it has two drone racks (and I know that each drone flight is four drones) does that mean it can only fire two drone flights during the game? There are no real counters or indication on the ship card....

As far as I can tell, (and I feel like I must be mistaken), a drone does 12 points of damage? Or is that actually a flight of four drones? I've looked through the Admiralty core rule book and can't find anything... Help is appreciated...

Thanks.... What I ended up doing was having the Fed CA fire through the glowing debris of the first D7. smile

AE rules.... And that answers it. And might just save my Kzinti Battlecruiser... Thanks smile

Here's what I've encountered. Fed CA has destroyed Klingon D7#1 sad . Once he's done that, another D7 is now in his line of sight. (It was actually directly behind D7#1) So since that line of sight to D7#2 is no longer blocked, (assuming the first one is now a cloud of expanding gas and drifting gagh), can that Fed CA now target the second D7? Seems logical to me, but I've never seen it addressed....

I've looked at the rules for these, under Strikers, and found everything but the amount of damage they do. Is it the same as fighter damage, which is one?

We didn't retreat. Klingons never retreat. We advanced to the rear! wink

Thanks.... I dug through the core rules and found them. Seems you can't actually repair a specific system. You roll a 1d6 and see what gets fixed. Better than nothing. My D7 was got smacked by a Neo Tholian Cruiser and a large Q ship and basically had to run. Next time should work better. Next time read the rules first I guess smile

I saw a reference to repairs in a quick reference card, but it seemed a bit confusing. Are there rules for repairing systems in Klingon/Alien Aramada?
