Hey, I was just wondering if anyone had thought of doing a VBAM/Defiance crossover similar to the starmada one.  so you could use starmada in space and defiance for ground combat.
i know that would make campaigns take a long time, but i was just wondering if anyone had thought of it.

i think it sounds interesting and fun.  have a few things to bring up.
1) would this be like mad max style? where the field is mostly a mass of cars with side to side jockeying and a bit of front to back movement.
2) would the focus be on car to car combat (a la twisted metal) or person to person combat on the cars (mad max again)

When it talks about equipping a unit it says every infantry model in a unit must have the same primary weapon with the exception of leaders and heroes.  how does this work if you're using a unit with 2 infantry frames in it with different primary weapons available to them?

does this mean that i cannot combine frames to form a unit unless they have at least one primary weapon in common?  all it says is that this unit would be required to be exclusive (different frames in it) and that the frames must be of the same quality.  it says nothing about how to equip the primary weapon in this situation.
please clarify.

i think you'll find it might work out better to go up against him with lots of small ships and tons of fighters.  if you take stealth fighters and ships with cloaking devices and stealth generators it'll really hamper his attacks.  first off, with stealth he can't shoot at you at long range, period.  second, with cloaking and cloaked fighters he won't be able to shoot you until you're well within range of your own nasty weapons.  and if you send marines too he's lost.  enough marines will take out his hulls without a problem.  for that many points you should be OVERWHELMING him worse than those tiny little x-wings did to the death stars

hey, i would love some fold-ups
i played 40k (by GW) for a while and then got out when i came to college... i'm not too keen about dropping lots of money into more miniatures.  especially not when there's something else out there.
with something as customizable as the defiance system, it'd be great to have a bunch of different fold-ups to use to test an army, even if you wanted to buy miniatures.  you could test out ideas and see which ones suited you best.
