Will all the errata be sticky'd at the top of the forum? Is there a place to find all product errata?

will the basic Unity Rulebook get an update? I've already purchased the PDF of the 2020, but was curious if the basic book will get a 2.0 revision, since there are enough extras in the Annex to warrant that as a separate purchase.
Thanks, really looking forward to reading this.

I've been around with Starmada since I printed the "original" text version off the "internet" back in my late 90's college years. I have collected every product for my "Starmada" Collection througth it all. I am really, REALLY happy to see growth and future expansion with the product line. Starmada, in my humble viewpoint, remains at the top of the class for options, ease of play, and ability to customize. I just wanted to say thank you for aligning everything. At the end of the day, Starmada still remains as one of the best. It was the icing on the cake the day we got "offcial" star trek type rules with ADB.

I know the credits of the books usually have a "printing" or "version" number. I was wondering if a list could be put on the website or sticky listing the last printing/versions of each starmada product.

Some ideas on that:

1.) An Anniversary or special edition of Starmada
2.) A PDF that includes all errata and additions to the different versions of each product (where you add info into each revision).
3.) Set books (each one book, containing all the rules and ships): SFU, All NOVA product, All X products, Adm. stuff, etc.
4.) Maybe a book of just ships from all the products combined with another product that has all the rules.
5.) The "super compendium" a product that contains everything in one..all the different editions and products.
6.) A super detailed starship construction book: has premade modules, hulls, etc..and types of weapons already designed out.
7.) It would be great if someone had the B5 license again..

would the shields in the ADB universe act more like Armor?  Thanks again for posting the preview!

Dan, I posted links in the Starmada forum on ADB's discus forum.

I hope you didn't mind me saving you the time smile

thanks Dan. I'll ask there. I just wanted to buy all of them again if the errata had been worked in as I like to collect Starmada products!  wink

I was kind of hoping that Dan might know if any of them were "updated" with errata in that if I purchased them now, I would get books with errata in them fixed...

question about the errata for the two products with stickies. Did those get worked into newer printings of the books?

I know it's a moot point, but as a "collector" of Starmada editions, I was just wondering if it was worth rebuying them to get all errata neatly updated within the newer printings...

I just saw the back page in CL44 with the new ship examples.  Does this mean that Shield arcs are no longer a factor? I kind of liked being able to target a weakend shield arc...

I do like that in FC shields act as armor....

I know one of the things I loved about the Compendium edition (boy that takes me back), was the fact that you had tons of weapons already made and could just choose to build your designs. Phasers were already part of that mix. It made for quick ship building...

I love this idea. This gives you much more flexibility in starship defenses when messing in Starmada with the universe tech your trying to mimic.

Count me in for playtest.

The three forms of defense are:

ECM: Reduces the effective firepower of attacking weapons.

Shields: Deflects incoming fire.

Armor: Absorbs damage that gets past the first two lines of defense.

Does the email serve as the gateway? I don't know of any other place to go and download a file for MJ12..

also, see email I sent regarding PDF rendering issues..

When you update something that you previously purchased via PDF, how does it work if you update that file later to get that newer copy. Does an email go out?
For example, just bought the PDF of ST:ops. If you update that with errata, how do you redownload? Just use the original email that was sent?

Could a sticky be added to the top with the others for errata (once verified)?

I see Klingon and Starmada stickies.  Are they any corrections for Romulan Armada or Annex?

I know in the Starmada products line, when you make updates to the actual product (with corrections) you add a revision number to the book.  Do you do that for the Klingon Armada book lines? Or do they just get revisions with no notation.
Just inventoring my books to see if one is "more corrected" than the other...

Dan,
Regarding RPGNOW version of Starmada ANNEX,
I had bought my pdf version on 6/30/2009 which is "Original Version- June 2009."

Then, I saw an email from RPGNow stating that there was an update. So, I downloaded the new book only to find it the same revision number. I emailed them, below is the response.

-------------------
Hello,
It looks like the publisher uploaded a new file on 10/6.

-------------------

But, like I said, it was the same. Did they not link the correct, updated version?

I had just purchased a printed copy from ADB today via their website (because I neede to get Captian's Log too), do they have the update version of the book?

Also, when Annex first came out, I had gotten the pdf version from RPG Now.  I noticed I had a note from them saying a new version was uploaded to them on 10/6, which is after the original released one that I bought. When I downloaded it, it had the same revsion number. Do you know what the difference was?

Just wondered if it was typo or meant to be, but on Page 37, lower right corner, within the description for the Strike Cruiser, it mentions "as the CAs of the Constellation class....."  Was that suppose to be Constitution class? Or is that referecing another FC/SFB CA class?
