That's going to take some serious creativity to pull off as a direct fire weapon.
Personally I'd rather make a weapon that launches flights of seekers - much like the plasma torps from Romulan armada, but without a mandatory dual mode and with the option of ammunition.

I would apply a -1 penalty when attacking a target with point defense, and use a x1.2 modifier for the weapon, at least as a starting point.

I'm confused. Isn't this mod a disadvantage and shouldn't it give a cost reduction?
It depends on how it applies. Does Point Defense work instead of Countermeasures? In that case it sounds like a null-value Trait (rather like Fire Linked). If Point Defense works in addition to Countermeasures, then it's a disadvantage and should be costed below x1.
I'm an idiot. Of course, it should be less than x1 (or, exactly 1, but certainly not more than 1).
If you're proposing it is affected by point-defense in addition to countermeasures, then go with x0.9.
Thank you for the impute now here is another a weapon mod not a battery mod that lets the weapon target all but one arc. think of it as a missile that fly fast enough that it is a direct fire weapon not a seeker. but it still tracks it just can't track thru the engine exhaust. so a 300 deg arc.

Simply give the weapon a [GHIJK] firing arc.
